A New Day

As I was driving around today, I noticed a newly erected memorial to a local police officer that died on the job. At first I didn’t think much about it, but the more i got to thinking about it, the more i was intrigued. What would possess a person to give their life for something? To die for something? What a noble thing.

The reality is, we’re all giving our lives to something. What am i giving my life to? What would i lay my life down for? Many live their lives for themselves. Many days I find myself at the end of the day with no one served but myself. You know, it just seems like far too small a thing to give my life to nothing and no one but myself.

I want to give all of me to ONE THING.
