I’ve loved reading about both Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela. They are two amazing men who’s lives have been truly inspiring. Mandela’s “Long Walk to Freedom” is definitely worth the read.

Martin Luther King Jr’s “Why We Can’t Wait” is short, excellent, and inspiring. A great start.
I also highly suggest “Martin & Malcolm & America: A Dream or a Nightmare” by James H. Cone. Not only interesting, but filled with insights from a sustained comparison between Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr.
Peace.
